    Crust
    20 graham crackers, crushed
    1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
    1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/2 cup butter, melted

    Cheesecake
    2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
    1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
    2 tablespoons flour
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 teaspoon almond extract
    4 eggs, separated
    1 cup sour cream
    1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips

    Topping
    4 cups fresh blackberries
    3 cups sugar
    3 whole cloves
    1 stick cinnamon

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

    For crust, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, cocoa powder and butter. Press into bottom of cheesecake pan.

    For cheesecake, blend together cream cheese, sugar, flour, salt, vanilla and almond extract. Add well-beaten egg yolks. Add sour cream.

    In medium bowl, beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into cream cheese mixture with chocolate chips. Pour over crust. Bake for 45 minutes, or until done. Cool thoroughly.

    For topping, mix blackberries with sugar in large saucepan. Let stand for 10 minutes. Add cloves and cinnamon tied in cheesecloth. Bring to a boil. Cook until berries are clear and syrup is thick, stirring occasionally. Remove spices. Cool thoroughly. Pour over cheesecake. Chill for 1 hour. Serve cold.

    Serving quantity: Serves 12.
