    2 cups fresh blueberries
    1 cup fresh blackberries
    1 cup fresh black raspberries
    1 cup, plus 2 Tablespoons sugar
    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1 Tablespoon minute tapioca
    1 cup water

    Recipe



    In bowl mix berries. Pour water over berries and let sit a few minutes. Drain and add tapioca to water that has been drained off berries. In separate bowl, combine sugar, flour and salt. Fold into berry mixture. Add water drained from berries and the tapioca mixture. pour into pastry shell. Adjust top crust, seal and flute edges. Cut slits to allow steam to escape. Bake in 375 degree oven for 45-50 minutes. May add berry cut-outs before putting in oven from pastry scraps if so desire.

    Pastry for 2 crust 9 inch pies
    1 cup Crisco shortening
    3 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 Tablespoon sugar
    1 egg slightly beaten
    5-6 Tablespoons ice water or enough to make dough form together
    1 teaspoon vinegar

    Cut flour and Crisco together until small pea-size balls form. Add salt and sugar. Add beaten egg and ice water to which vinegar has been added by spoonfuls until dough will form ball. Divide into 2 balls and chill 30 minutes. Ma roll between wax paper to prevent sticking to rolling pin.

    The weather sometimes makes the dough take a little less liquid, so only use enough to make a ball form together. Serves 6-8
