    Brown Butter Apple Dapple Cake

    3 eggs
    2 C sugar
    1 1/2 C oil
    3 C flour (all purpose)
    2 t vanilla
    1 t salt
    1 t soda
    1 t cinnamon
    1/2 nuts, chopped
    3 C chopped apples (approximately 2 large or 3 small)

    Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour bundt pan (normal size.) Mix eggs, oil and sugar together. Add dry ingredients and vanilla. Add nuts, apples and mix well. Pour in pan, bake for 52 minutes. Cool.

    Brown butter frosting

    1/2 stick butter
    1/2 C brown sugar (I prefer light instead of dark)
    2 T milk
    1/8 t vanilla
    1/4 C chopped nuts (optional)

    Combine all ingredients (except nuts) in small pan. Boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Let cool for approximately 2 minutes. Spoon over cake. Top with nuts.
