    3 cups flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1 cup butter or margarine
    2 1/2 cups sugar, divided
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    6 eggs
    1 cup sour cream
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 cup chopped walnuts
    Confectioners' sugar glaze

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease 12-cup fluted tube pan or 10-inch tube pan.

    In small bowl, stir together flour and baking soda. In mixing bowl, beat butter and 2 1/4 cups sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in vanilla. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, beating after each addition.

    Pour half of batter into prepared pan. Stir together remaining 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Stir in walnuts. Sprinkle over batter in pan. Pour remaining batter on top. Bake for 75 to 85 minutes, or until done. Cool for 10 minutes in pan. Remove from pan. Drizzle on confectioners' sugar glaze as desired.
