Crazy Crust Apple Pie

List of Ingredients




1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg
2/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. water
1 (5 oz.) can apple pie filling
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. apple pie spice or cinnamon


Recipe



In small mixer bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, egg, shortening and water. Blend well. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour mixture into 9-inch pie pan. Combine pie filling, lemon juice and spice. Pour into center of batter. DO NOT STIR. Bake in a 425 degrees oven for 45 to 50 minutes.

Mincemeat pie filling may be substituted for apple.
