    1 pkg Orange cake mix
    1 pkg Orange gelatin (3 oz.)
    1 cup boiling water
    1 pkg Instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz.)
    1 cup milk
    1 tsp Vanilla extract
    1 tsp Orange extract
    1 tub frozen whipped topping, thawed (8 oz.)

    Prepare and bake cake mix according to package directions for 9x13 pan. Poke holes in cake while still hot with the round end of a wooden spoon. In a medium bowl, make gelatin with only 1 cup of boiling water. Pour liquid gelatin over cake while hot. Cool cake completely. In a large bowl, make vanilla instant pudding with only 1 cup of milk. Stir in vanilla and orange extract. Fold in whipped topping. Spread evenly over cake. Refrigerate cake for 1 hour before serving.

    This is a beautiful Orange and White Cake. And very good. Orange cake mix is hard to find. If you cannot find it, use a lemon cake mix to which you add 1 tsp orange extract and a few drops of yellow and red food coloring to get the shade of orange you want and proceed as above.

    Again, you will want to refrigerate the cake before you go and carry it in a thermal pouch. However, it holds up nicely. We used it recently for a family gathering and it was in the heat for two hours and did nicely. And you will not need to worry about leftovers. It will all be eaten.
