    3/4 cup sugar
    2 tbsp flour
    3 tbsp cornstarch
    1/4 tsp salt
    2 cups milk
    2 egg yolks, well beaten
    1 tbsp butter
    1 tsp lemon juice
    2 cups sliced fresh peaches, divided use
    1 baked pie shell
    Sweetened whipped cream (for topping)

    Recipe



    Mix sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt. Add milk slowly and cook over boiling water until mixture begins to thicken.

    Add well-beaten egg yolks and butter and cook until mixture thickens. Add lemon juice and cool.

    Arrange 1 cup sliced peaches in pie shell. Pour in cooled filling and top with remaining peaches.

    Chill thoroughly and top with sweetened whipped cream.
