Labor Day Surprise Cake

1 box yellow cake mix (make accordingly)
1 philly cream cheese (softened)
1 large cool whip or (homemade)
1 can crushed pineapples
1 pkg Jello instant vanilla pudding (make as directed and refrigerate)
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
cocconut (optional)
Recipe
Make the cake and bake. Cool. Meanwhile, cream softened cheese until smooth. Fold in already made vanilla puddding and combine well.(no lumps)
Spread this on cooled cake. Layer the coolwhip topping. Drain pineapple can of water and spread pineapple's evenly with your fingers all over the cake. Sprinkle pecans to top off the cake. Cocconut if desired. Cover with a lid and refrigerate at least 4 hours before slicing.
*Mandarine oranges can also be used in this recipe in place of pineapples.
Omitting the cocconut.
