Pink and White Luncheon Ribbon Cake

1 baked angel food cake, either in loaf shape or rounded tube shape
Enough strawberry or orange sherbet to fill the center
Cool Whip or whipped cream to cover the entire cake
Split open an angel food cake, prepared either in a long or tube shape. Fill with sherbet of your choice.
Ice with a container of Cool Whip or whipped cream. Freeze for at least 2 or 3 hours, preferably overnight. Garnish with strawberries or orange slices and, for the most elegant display, place on a raised cake plate. Garnish with fresh flowers at the base.
