Graham Cracker Cake

2 dozen graham crackers, rolled fine (1-3/4 cups)
1/2 c shortening
1 c sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 c cocoa
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
1 c milk
1/2 c nutsRecipe
Cream sugar and shortening well
Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well
Add sifted dry ingredients alternatively with milk
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and vanilla
Bake in layer cake pans lined with brown paper and greased
Bake 350° degrees for 35 minutes
Frost with a 7 minute icing made with brown sugar or a mocha frosting
Keep moist
