Lemon Custard Cake with Macadamia

1 box yellow cake mix
1-1/4 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 tsp. Lemon extract
1 cup lemon curd
2 cups whipped topping
6 lemon slices
2-1/2 cup whole milk
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
1 box instant vanilla pudding
1 cup chopped macadamia nuts Recipe
In large bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil, eggs and lemon extract on low speed until moistened. Beat for two minutes on medium speed. Pour batter into two pans sprayed with cooking spray and bake for 25-35 min at 350 deg or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in pans on cooling racks for 10 min. Remove from pans and let cool for 30 min.
Stir lemon curd in small bowl to soften. Place one cake layer on serving plate and spread with lemon curd. Sandwich with 2nd cake. Spread whipped topping on top cake. Garnish with lemon slices.
In medium bowl, combine milk and vanilla extract. Slowly add pudding, stirring vigorously with fork until thick. (2 min) Refrigerate cake and sauce until 30 min before serving. Serve cake in a pool of custard sauce.
