Rice Krispie Pie

1 unbaked 9 or 10 inch pie shell
4 to 5 large eggs
1 to 1 1/2 cups white corn syrup
3/4 cup sugar
pinch salt
1 to 2 tsp vanilla
2 Tbs. butter or margarine melted
2 Tbs flour
1 cup Rice Krispie cereal
Beat eggs until thick and pale. Blend in remaining ingredients well. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake 45 to 60 minutes or until pie is set ( it may puff up a bit and fall slighly ) Do not overbake or filling will get rubbery . Cool completely. Serve warm ( best ) or chilled and serve with a dollop of whipped cream.
Note: for the 10 inch pie use 5 eggs and 1 1/2 cups corn syrup .
In case mixture bubbles over, place pie pan on a sheet of aluminum foil.
Please note there is no milk or cream in this delicious pie.
