Sour Cream Surprise Cake

3 cups plain flour (sifted)
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 sticks butter or margarine
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups flaked coconut
pecans, coursely chopped

Recipe



Preheat oven to 300 degrees
Combine flour, soda and salt
Cream together butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition
Beginning and ending with dry ingredients, add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream
Add vanilla
Generously grease a 10 inch tube pan
Cover bottom of pan with pecans
Spoon batter over pecans
Bake 1-1/2 hours
Remove from oven and remove from pan immediately
Cool on cake rack
