Spanish Bar Cake

List of Ingredients
3 cups raisins
3 cups water
2-1/2 to 2-3/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp cinnamon*(see note)
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup oleo or butter,softened
2 eggs
1-1/2 cups white sugar
NUTMEG ICING
2 cups powdered sugar
2 Tbsp oleo, melted
1 tsp vanilla
Dash nutmeg
2 Tbsp light cream Recipe
Cover raisins in water
Cook & bring to boil, then simmer 20 min. Drain, reserve 1 cup of liquid
Cool raisins & reserved liquid well
Cream butter & sugar
Add eggs to creamed mixture, then add raisins
Add dry ingredients plus 1 cup reserved liquid
Bake in 9"x13" pan at 350° 60-70 minutes or until tests done
Cool cake completely & ice
