    Filling:

    Mix 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts, 1-1/2 tsp. cinnamon together and set aside.

    Cake:

    3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
    1-1/2 cups sugar
    3 eggs
    1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 cups sifted flour
    1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1-1/2 cups sour cream

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350º
    Grease and flour 10 inch tube pan or bundt pan.
    Combine butter, sugar, add eggs and vanilla. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream.
    Spread 1/3 batter in pan and top with 1/2 filling mix.
    Repeat and top with remaining batter.
    Bake 40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
    Cool 10 minutes in pan.
    Allow to cool until only slightly warm or cold then drizzle with a light frosting.

    Frosting:

    1 cup sifted powdered sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla

    enough water to make consistency of heavy cream.
    Allow frosting to drip from spoon as you move your hand in a circular motion.
    This cake freezes well
