    2 1/2 cups of sifted flour
    1 teaspoon of baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
    2 teaspoons of cinnamon
    Pinch nutmeg
    1/2 teaspoon of salt
    1/2 cup of butter, softened
    1 1/2 cup of sugar
    3 eggs
    1 cup of plain yogurt
    1/2 cup of pumpkin
    1 cup of chopped walnuts

    Grease and flour a 9 inch tube pan. Combine the first 5 ingredients, set aside. Beat the butter until fluffy. Gradually beat in the sugar. Add eggs individually. Beat well, low speed. Beat in half of flour mixture, yogurt, and pumpkin. Add remainder of flour mixture. Beat until smooth. Stir in nuts. Bake at preheated 325ºF. for 1 hour 15 minutes. Top with cream cheese frosting, if desired.
