1/2 pint whipping cream
6 eggs
3 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 sticks butter (1 cup)
3 cups cake flour plus 3 teaspoons
1 teaspoon vanilla or almond flavor
Recipe
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour and whipping cream (do not whip the cream) alternately. Bake in well-greased and floured tube pan at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 25 minutes. Place in cold oven.
