    Black Walnut Apple Chip Cake

    1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
    2 cups sugar
    3 eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 teaspoon black walnut flavoring
    3 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon salt
    3 cups diced raw apples
    1 cup black walnut pieces
    1 cup raisins

    Blend oil, sugar, eggs and flavorings. Save enough flour to coat apples, nuts and raisins.

    Mix together flour, baking soda, and salt; combine with sugar mixture.

    Combine apples, walnuts, and raisins; toss with reserved flour. Stir into batter.

    Bake in greased and floured tube or Bundt pan at 325 degrees F. for 1 hour and 45 minutes.

    Cool until you can handle the pan. Loosen edges with knife and invert onto serving plate. Cool the rest of the way.

    Serve as is or with ice cream or Cool Whip.
