Cherry Pound Cake

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup Crisco
1 cup sweet butter
5 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cherry extract
1 cup milk
1/2 cup cherries in juice, chopped
Recipe
Cream sugar, Crisco, butter, add eggs one at a time. Add flour, baking powder, salt and cherry extract alternately with milk. Beat until creamy. Stir in cherries with juice
Bake in greased bundt pan or tube pan at 325� for one hour and then increase heat to 350� for 30 minutes
