Linda Martin Apple Butter Cake

List of Ingredients
1/2 cup Crisco
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 cup apple butter
2-1/2 cups sifted cake flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup apple butter
1 cup sour milk
Recipe
Cream together Crisco and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beat until light and fluffy. Stir in one cup apple butter.
Sift together flour, baking powder and soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add dry ingredients to creamy mixture, alternately with sour milk.
Turn into 2 greased 9 inch cake pans. Bake at 350� for 35 minutes. Cool thoroughly
Spread bottom layer of cake with 1/4 cup remaining apple butter. Top with frosting. Cover with top cake layer. Frost top and sides with any marshmallow frosting. Swirl remaining apple butter on top for marbled effect
