    2 sticks butter
    1/2 cup Crisco
    3 cups sugar
    5 eggs
    3 cups flour
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 cup cocoa
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 cup milk
    2 tsp vanilla

    Recipe



    Cream butter shortening & sugar
    Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well after each
    Sift dry ingredients, including cocoa, together. Add alternately with milk & vanilla. Begin & end with dry ingredients
    Grease & flour angel food or bundt pan
    Pour batter in pan. Bake at 325° 1 hour or until cake tests done (May need up to 1 hr 15 min)
    Do not overbake
