Pork Chop Casserole

1 (6-ounce) package long-grain and wild rice mix (I use Uncle Ben's)
2 cups hot water
6 (1/2 inch thick) bone-in pork loin chops, trimmed
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted (I like using the cream of mushroom soup)
1/2 cup milk
Recipe
Combine rice, seasoning packet from mix, and hot water; place in a lightly greased 13x9x2 baking dish. Set aside.
Sprinkle pork chops with pepper, and place over rice mixture.
Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Uncover casserole; combine soup and milk, and pour over cassrole. Bake, uncovered, 15 minutes longer or until thoroughly heated.
