Finger Lickin' Fried Chicken

3 pound fryer chicken
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dry thyme
2 eggs
2 cups of milk
Vegetable oil (as needed)
1 piece of bacon
Recipe
Wash chicken & dry on a paper towel. Combine the flour with half (one teaspoon) of the salt & place in a large bowl. In a small bowl, combine all remaining dry spices & herbs. Season dried chicken with the seasoning mix & set aside.
In a separate bowl combine the 2 eggs with the milk & whisk. Dip the chicken in the milk & eggs mixture & then into the flour. Repeat.
Fill a large frying pan with vegetable oil & the bacon (remove when ready to begin frying). Cook chicken for 6 to 8 minutes, flip, & cook another 6 to 10 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
