List of Ingredients
1 can of ready-to-make biscuits (ie. Pillsbury)
1 can of sweetened red bean paste (or lotus, or your own meat mixture)*
Before preparing the buns, first set up a steamer to boil.
As the water is boiling, take out the biscuits from their container and separate them. Thin out each biscuit until it's about 2-inches in diameter, or so. Place about a teaspoon of red bean or lotus seed paste at the center. Bring the sides of the biscuit up and tweek it in the center, enclosing the paste. A dab of red food coloring is optional.
Put the finished buns into the waiting steamer and steam for about 8-10 minutes, test to make sure it's well-steamed. Once done they're ready to serve.
*Red bean and lotus seed pastes are to be found at local Asian markets Recipe
