List of Ingredients




1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar well packed
3 eggs
2 cups applesauce
2 teaspoons soda
4 cups flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 l/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1 cup nuts or raisins


Recipe



Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add soda to applesauce. Sift dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients altemately with applesauce to butter mixture blending well. Add raisins or nuts or a combination of both. Drop by teaspoons onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for about 12 minutes or until done. Do not overbake.
