5 cups flour
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
2 lbs. raisins
Gumdrops and nuts optional
4 cups ground suet
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. nutmeg, allspice & ground ginger
1 tsp. salt
½ cup molasses
2 tsps. baking powder
2 cups milk

Wet down a dish towel and wring out. Dust flour on towel. Mix ingredients and dump on towel. Cover with flour then tie up. Place a platter in bottom of kettle and cover with hot water. Boil for 4 hours.
