    1 package of yellow cake mix
    1 stick of butter or margarine
    2/3 cup of water
    1 small package of instant vanilla pudding mix
    4 large eggs, slightly beaten
    2 teaspoons of vanilla
    1 cup of chopped candied pineapple
    1 cup of chopped dates
    1 pint of strawberry preserves
    1 pound of dark seedless raisins
    1 cup of chopped candied cherries
    1 cup of chopped pecans

    Mix cake mix and pudding mix in large mixing bowl. Melt butter in saucepan and add 2/3 cup water. Add to cake mix, stir in slightly beaten eggs and vanilla. Beat 4 minutes on high speed. Pour into 6 quart pan. Add remaining ingredient sand mix well with large spoon or hands. Grease large tube pan and lightly dust with flour. Firmly pack mixture in pan within 1 inch of top of pan. Bake at 350ºF. for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until done.
