Combine 2 1/4 Cupos sifted cake flour
2 1/2 Tspoon baking pwdr
1/2 tsp salt

Cream until fluffy:
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter

Combine:
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

Add shifted ingredients to the butter to mix, alternating with the liquid ingredients, combining until smooth.

Whip 4 Egg whites
Fold them into batter.
Pour into 2 9" cake pans and top of cake with following filling:
6 egg yokes slightly beaten
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter
1 c. walnuts
1/2 c. dates chopped
1/2 golden raisins finley chopped
1/2 c. slivered dried apricots
3/4 c flakes coconut
1 c. quartered candied cherries
1/4 c. orange juice
2 tsp. vanilla
In a heavy saucepan combine eggs, sugar, salt and butter.
Cook over low heat, stir constantly until thick about 5 min. Remove from heat, then cool.
