Mulled Cranberry Apple Juice

4 cups cranberry apple juice--one 32 ounce bottle
4 slices fresh ginger
4 cinnamon sticks
8 whole cloves
peel from 1 orange--cut into thick strips
Recipe
In 3-quart saucepan, combine juice, gingerroot, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and orange peel; heat mixture to simmering. Simmer 10 minutes.
Cover and set aside at least 30 minutes to allow spices to steep, flavoring the juice. The longer the spices steep, the more flavorful the beverage will be.
To serve hot, reheat briefly (or refrigerate for chilled drinks). Ladle into four 8-ounce glasses or mugs.
