Pumpkin-Pecan Drop Cookies

1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 16-oz can pumpkin
2-3/4 cups all purpose flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped pecans Recipe
Heat oven to 400°
Mix brown sugar, shortening, eggs and pumpkin
Stir in remaining ingredients
Drop by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet
Bake until light brown, 12 to 15 minutes
Immediately remove from cookie sheet
Yield: about 6 dozen
