    Shirley Bonazzo Pumpkin Chiffon Pie

    List of Ingredients




    1 baked 9" pie shell
    1 1/2 Tbls. unflavored gelatin
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbls. molasses
    3 egg yolks
    1/2 cup milk
    1 1/4 cup pumpkin
    3 egg whites
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup whipping cream
    2 Tbls. 10x sugar

    Recipe



    1. Combine all ingredients except egg whites, granulated sugar, cream and 10x sugar. Mix well and cook, stirring until it comes to a boil.

    2. Chill, until mixture is cool and starts to gel.

    3. Beat egg whites until stiff, adding granulated sugar gradually. Fold into pumpkin mixture, mixing well.

    4. Pour into shell; chill 1-2 hours until firm.

    5. Beat cream and 10x sugar. Pipe onto pie for garnish; sprinkle with nutmet.
