Stockbridge Praline Pumpkin Pie

1 1/2 cups cooked or canned pumpkin
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups rich milk or thin cream
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons baking molasses
1/2 cup sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1 (10-inch) unbaked pie shell or 6 unbaked tart shells
Topping:
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup pecans
Recipe
Combine pumpkin and rest of filling ingredients and mix well. Strain into unbaked pie or tart shells. Bake in 450 degree oven for 10 minutes until crust is set. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake about 1 1/2 hours or until custard is set. Cover baked filling with pecans mixed with brown sugar and butter. Place under broiler until slightly caramelized.
