    Pastry for one single-crust pie
    5 cups peeled and thinly sliced tart sweet apples
    1 cup butterscotch chips
    3/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/4 cup (1/2 stick) chilled butter or margarine
    1 container vanilla ice cream

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line 9-inch tart pan with
    pastry; trimming any excess. Arrange the apples in pastry
    shell; sprinkling morsels over apples. Combine flour, sugar
    and cinnamon in medium bowl. Cut in the butter until mixtureresembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle mixture over the filling.

    Bake the tart for 40 to 45 minutes or until the apples are
    tender when pierced with a fork. Serve warm with ice cream.
    Makes 8 servings
