    2 cups commercial eggnog
    4 cups sugar
    1/4 cup light corn syrup
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup butter
    1 cup diced candied fruit
    1 cup chopped pecans

    Recipe



    Combine eggnog, sugar, corn syrup,
    and salt in a Dutch oven; cook
    over low heat, stirring frequently,
    until mixture reaches soft ball stage(230).
    Cool to luckwarm; add butter, and
    beat until mixture is no longer shiny
    (about 5 minutes). Stir in fruit and
    pecans. Spread in a buttered 8 inch
    square pan. Cool and cut into squares.

    Yield: about 2 dozen pieces
