    Preheat oven to 350

    In a mixing bowl add:

    3 cups mashed fresh sugar pie pumpkin
    1 cup white sugar
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp vanilla
    1/2 cup canned milk, I think it was evaporated milk
    1/2 stick of butter, melted and cooled
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp nutmeg

    Beat until smooth. Pour into a 2 quart casserole dish.

    Topping:

    In a medium bowl add:

    1 cup brown sugar
    1/4 cup white flour
    1/2 cups cold butter cut into cubes

    Cut the butter into the sugar and flour, add:

    1 cup chopped pecans and mix to a crumble dough.

    Sprinkle the crumble topping over the pumpkin mixture and bake for 35-40 mintues. Cool 1/2 or more and spoon out into dishes.. top with your favorite topping.

    Now the above recipe really only came with measurements of the ingredients.. so cook a fresh pumpkin by either baking it or boiling it in a simmer till tender and then drain well, fork mash for smaller lumps but not creamy. You can change the directions to fit your needs. Remember, that 1 pound of pumpkin will cook one pie so 2 - 3 smaller sugar pie pumpkins will do the trick here.
