Austrian Coconut Macaroons

1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. heavy cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup flour
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup coconut
6 crushed vanilla wafers
Heat oven to 3750. Cream butter and sugar Add the well-beaten eggs,
cream and vanilla. Sift the dry ingredients, and add to the first
mixture. Add the coconut and wafers. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 1 inch
apart, on a greased cookie sheet and bake in a moderate oven until
brown on top. 8-10 minutes.
