    5 lb sugar
    2-1/2 lb lard
    12 eggs
    1 cup maple syrup (or 1 pint syrup)
    2 oz or 3 tbsp soda
    2 lb quick oats
    2 oz or 3 tbsp baking powder
    1 qt sweet milk
    6 lb flour
    1 lb salted peanuts
    1 lb raisins

    Recipe



    Mix all ingredients.
    Coarsely grind peanuts and raisins before adding.
    Bake at 350º Note: To those of you unaware, sweet milk is just milk.
