Butterscotch and Peanut Butter Bars

1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter, smooth or chunky
5 cups crisp rice cereal (Rice Krispies)
1-16 oz pkg chocolate chips
1-10 oz pkg butterscotch chips
Recipe
In large saucepan over medium heat, stir sugar and syrup until sugar melts; do not boil. Stir in peanut butter until mixed. Add crisp rice cereal and stir until coated. Press mixture into buttered 9"x13" baking dish.
In double boiler or in microwave, melt chocolate and butterscotch chips. Stir often to avoid burning. Spread mixture over cereal mixture.
Let cool to room temperature, then cut into 2" by 3" bars.
Makes about 20 bars
