    1 cup butter
    1 tsp vanilla
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 egg yolk
    2 cups sifted flour
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    Powdered sugar
    Raspberry jelly (seedless)

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350°
    Cream butter with vanilla
    Add sugar 1/4 cup at a time, creaming well after each addition
    Beat until light and fluffy
    Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together
    Add to creamed mixture in fourths, mixing well until blended after each addition
    Quickly roll dough into 1" balls and place approx 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets
    Dip thumb into some powdered sugar and make indentations in the cookie balls, flattening slightly
    Place a small dollop of raspberry jelly into the indentations
    Bake 12-15 minutes
    Cool on cookie sheets a few minutes before moving to a cooling rack
