1-3/4 C flour
1-1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
1/2 C butter or margarine, softened
1 C sugar
1 egg
2 t caraway seed
3 T brandy
1/3 C confectioner's sugar
Recipe
Stir together flour, baking powder, salt; set aside.
In large bowl beat together butter, sugar and egg until fluffy. Beat in caraway seed.
Stir in flour mixture alternately with brandy. Chill until firm enough to roll out, 2 or 3 hours.
Roll out on lightly floured surface to 1/3 inch thickness. Cut with 2-3/4 inch star-shaped cookie cutter. Reroll scraps.
Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Dust tops generously with sifted confectioners' sugar.
Bake in preheated 375º oven 10-12 minutes until lightly browned.
