Chocolate Rum Drops

30 small lumps of sugar
1/4 cup dark rum
1/2 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teas. vanilla extract
2 ounce semisweet chocolate, melted
1-3/4 cups of sifted flour
2 teas. baking powder
1/2 teas. salt
2 Tbsp. milk

Butter cookie sheets
Dip the sugar cubes quickly into rum and set aside
Cream the butter and sugar thoroughly. Beat in the egg, vanilla and chocolate.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add this alternately with the milk.
Drop by teaspoon onto the cookie sheets.
Bake at 400� for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and put sugar cubes in center of each cookie. Return to oven for 3 to 4 minutes and cool
