    Creamy Peanut Butter Cookies

    1 1/2 c sifted flour
    1/2 c sugar
    1/2 t baking soda
    1/4 t salt
    1/2 c Crisco
    1/2 c creamy peanut butter
    1/4 c light corn syrup
    1 T milk

    Recipe



    Combine flour, sugar, soda and salt. Cut in Crisco, and peanut butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.

    Blend in syrup and milk.

    Shape in roll 2 inches in diameter; chill.

    Slice 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Place half the slices on ungreased cookie sheet; spread each with 1/2 tsp peanut butter.

    Cover with remaining slices; seal edges with fork.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes, or until browned.

    Makes 2 dozen cookies.
