    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon soda
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup slightly crushed corn flakes
    1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
    1/2 cup flaked coconut

    Recipe



    In large mixer bowl, combine all ingredients except corn flakes, rolled oats and coconut. Blend well with mixer. Stir in remaining ingredients; mix thoroughly. Shape into balls using a rounded teaspoon for each. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten with bottom of a glass. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool. Makes 42 to 48 cookies.
