Lemon-Pineapple Drop Cookies

1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 3-ounce package lemon-flavored gelatin
1 package pound cake mix
1 8-1/4-ounce can crushed pineapple, well drained
In mixing bowl combine shortening and eggs; blend in gelatin. Add half of the cake mix; beat at medium speed of electric mixer until fluffy. Add remaining mix; blend on low speed, scraping sides of bowl constantly. Stir in fruit. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375F for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool 1 to 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet.
Makes about 4 dozen.
