2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. butter or margarine
1 egg yolk
milk
4-6 Empire, Rome or McIntosh apples, peeled
cored and sliced
1 c. corn flakes
3/4 c. sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1 c. confectioners' sugar
Recipe
Beat egg yolk in measuring cup and add enough milk to make 2/3 cup liquid. Mix flour, salt and cut in butter or margarine. Mix wet and dry ingredients together, rolling half the dough to fit into a 15-1/2" cookie sheet. Place dough in sheet do that it fills bottom and sides. Sprinkle crust with corn flakes. Top with apples. Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. Roll out rest of dough and place on top of apples. Seal edges. Cut holes in dough to let steam escape. Bake at 375F. degrees for 50-60 minutes. Mix confectioners' sugar and 3/4 t. milk. Drizzle onto warm squares
