Pecan Cake Bars

Cut into big squares, this makes a family dessert. Cut into bars (1 and 1/2x2-inches) it makes 50 and is great when guests drop in.




List of Ingredients




Makes 15x10x1-inch pan

1 package yellow cake mix
1 cup butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans



Recipe



Prepare cake mix as directed on package. Pour batter into buttered and floured 15x10x1-inch sheet pan. Bake at 350F for 25 to 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, cream butter and sugar together thoroughly. Stir in pecans. While cake is still warm, spread with the pecan topping. Place cake under broiler until topping is bubbly. Cut cold cake into big squares or little bars.
