    1 can (8 1/4 oz) Crushed pineapple
    2 1/2 cups Flour
    1 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon
    3/4 teaspoon Ground ginger
    1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
    1 teaspoon Salt
    1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
    1/2 cup Blanched almonds
    1/2 cup Butter, softened
    1 cup Brown sugar
    1/4 cup Honey
    2 Eggs
    1 teaspoon Grated lemon peel
    GLAZE :
    1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
    1 1/2 teaspoons Pineapple juice

    Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Sift flour with spices, salt and soda. Grind almonds fine to measure 1 cup. Cream butter, sugar and honey together. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in flour mixture, almonds and lemon peel. Chill dough throughly. Roll 1/4 of the dough at a time on a lightly floured surface to 1/8 inch thick. Cut with a 2 1/2 inch heart cookie cutter. Place cookies on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 11 minutes, or until lightly browned. Forglaze combine powdered sugar and pineapple juice, mix until smooth. Add a drop or two of red food coloring if desired. Add more powdered sugar if too thin, or more juice if to thick. Frost cooled cookies.
