    1 cup sugar
    2 cups (1 pound) butter
    3 cups ground hazelnuts
    4 cups flour
    vanilla sugar or powdered sugar

    Recipe



    Mix the butter and sugar together in a large bowl. Add the flour and ground nuts and knead together. The dough can be formed into one large ball. Pinch off small bits of dough to make small cresents and place on a cookie tray. Try and get all the cresents to be the same size so they will bake at the same rate. Cool the cresents the the refridgerator for 30 minutes before baking at 340 °. They take around 10 minutes to bake. They are ready when their bottoms begin to brown. After the cookies have baked remove them from the oven and wait 5 minutes before sprinkling them with vanilla sugar.

    Makes between 7 and 8 dozen cookies.
