    Apple Cinnamon Hoohah on the Grill

    List of Ingredients




    6 apples, cored and sliced
    4 T. sugar
    1 T. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 C. chopped walnuts
    4 T. butter
    Homemade whipped cream
    Frangelico (hazelnut liquer) to taste

    Recipe



    Mix sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and walnuts. Add to apple slices and mix well. Place apple mixture in an aluminum pie tin that has been sprayed or greased with vegetable shortening. dot the mixture with the butter. Cover with greased aluminum foil. Place on grill at the very end of preparing the meal, when coals are dying down. Leave on for 20 minutes or until apples are soft and butter and sugar have melted. Whip cream. Add hazelnut liqueur to taste. Remove apple mixture from grill. Add a dollop of whipped cream to each serving and serve warm.

    Yield: 6-8 servings
