    8 bacon strips
    3 to 4 medium onions, chopped
    1 1/2 cups brown sugar
    1 tablespoon dry mustard
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup vinegar

    2 15-ounce cans butter beans, drained
    1 16-ounce can green lima beans, drained
    1-16-ounce can red beans, drained
    1 1-pound 11-ounce can baked beans (do not drain)

    In a large skillet, fry the bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove the bacon, drain and crumble. Add the onions, brown sugar, dry mustard, garlic powder, salt and vinegar to the bacon drippings. Simmer the sauce over low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Place the beans in large bean pot or a 14x10-inch baking dish. Stir in the sauce and crumbled bacon. Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for about 1 hour, or until hot and bubbly. Serves 12 or more.

    Tip: The beans may be frozen for later use.
